The Gardner HE-Series mixers are manufactured in sizes from 200L to 5000L capacity as standard.
Trough
'U' shaped trough with its short aspect ratio provides for excellent mixing characteristics with ease of access for filling and cleaning. Although available in a standard configuration, most are customised in some way, particularly in relation to the top cover and access points.
The Agitator is a low speed, low shear, interrrupted double helix type, often constructed from 316 grade stainless steel with a bead blast finish. The spiral sections are welded to radial arms, which in turn are welded to the main shaft. The journal sections of the main shaft are fully machined to ensure concentric running of the agitator and to accommodate the bearings and packed gland seals. Housings are of stainless steel incorporating packing to suit the application. As standard, gland housings are drilled and tapped to accommodate air purging when required.
Bearings
Self aligning ball bearings support the agitator and are often of a split housing type for ease of replacement. There is a standard range of valves offered for the product discharge; these include plug, dome, slide, etc.
